Job summary

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the ED in Des Moines, IA. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 12-hour nights and a 36-bed unit. Start date is 08/31/2026. Licensure in IA and 2+ years in emergency medicine are required, along with EPIC EMR experience and ACLS/BLS/PALS.

Unit uses 4:1 patient ratios; travel radius within 50 miles. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, and weekly direct deposit.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in emergency medicine experience.
• IA license required.
• Recent travel experience preferred.
• Experience with drips including sedation, vasoactive, vasopressors, heparin, insulin, pain control.
• Experience reading tele strips.
• Proficiency with antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, pain control.
• Recent Level I trauma experience.
• EPIC EMR experience.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS per AHA.
• NCCN NIHSS preferred.
