Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel ER RN for a 13-week assignment in Newton, IA. You will provide rapid emergency care, triage and treat patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced facility.

The role requires one year of ER experience, active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and ENPC/PALS certifications. Sleep shifts are 12-hour nights; travel pay and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• One year of recent ER RN experience.
• Current RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on condition.
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency nursing protocols.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments and exams.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the ED visit.
• Observe and document patient conditions within scope of practice.
• Take and monitor vital signs with clinical judgment.
• Respond to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocols.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
