Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing, LLC seeks a skilled ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Sterling, IL. The ER RN will deliver rapid-response, high-quality care in a fast-paced ED, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and effective treatment in critical situations.

The role requires 1 year of ER experience, active RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS or ENPC certifications. Travel benefits and comprehensive support are provided through Fusion Medical Staffing.

Qualifications

• One year of ER RN experience required.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required.
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) required.
• Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity.
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency nursing protocols.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments and exams.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the ED and respond to immediate needs.
• Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
• Initiate patient education plans according to acute care needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers and staff to ensure comprehensive care.
