Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Austin, Texas. This 13-week contract involves 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts and a 09:00 AM to 09:00 PM schedule, including rotating weekends.

The RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED, perform assessments, administer treatments, and ensure efficient patient flow. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS, with MEDITECH experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience in emergency nursing and trauma care is preferred.
• Familiarity with MEDITECH is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and develop individualized nursing plans for patient care.
• Conduct EKGs, splinting, central monitoring, and assist with trauma procedures.
• Provide airway support and de-escalation techniques for behavioral health patients.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment effectively, including Alaris pumps and rapid infusers.
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR system (MEDITECH).
