Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Emergency Department travel nurse (RN) for Hazel Crest, IL. This ER travel assignment runs for 13 weeks, with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour night shifts. Start date is 10/12/2026.

1-2 years of acute care experience preferred; ACLS/BLS required. Duties include triage, bedside care, IV therapy, patient education, and timely documentation. Position is travel-based, with benefits such as weekly pay and medical coverage.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• Emergency DepartmentRN experience is advantageous.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or to be obtained before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients in a fast-paced ER setting.
• Provide bedside care, wound care, and IV therapy.
• Monitor vital signs and document care per physician instructions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
