Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Emergency Room Travel Nurse for Mattoon, IL. The role involves fast-paced ER care, triage, and patient education, with 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week on a 13-week assignment.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of acute care ER experience and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. The travel RN will document histories, monitor vital signs, and deliver essential bedside care while coordinating with physicians and the care team.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care ER experience.
• ER travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, triage and implement care per physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical procedures and advise patients and families.
• Document medical history and check for allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs and monitor emotional and physical well-being.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; report abuse as needed.
