Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department travel assignment in Cambridge, MA. This 13-week contract starts 11/16/2026, with 36 guaranteed hours per week on 12-hour evening shifts (11:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m.).

You will triage and stabilize acute ED patients, administer meds, document in EPIC, and collaborate with the care team. Active MA RN license with NURSYS verification and 2+ years ER experience are required; BLS and ACLS are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license with NURSYS verification within the last week.
• 2+ years ER/acute care nursing experience.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Flu vaccine on file.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references in ER and an up-to-date resume documenting ER experience and, if applicable, travel assignments.
• RTO must be provided at submission; valid driver’s license with address matching demographics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to ED patients, including triage and stabilization.
• Monitor and respond to changing patient conditions; escalate as needed.
• Administer medications and manage IVs, monitoring devices, and safety equipment.
• Document care and outcomes in the EMR; EPIC experience preferred.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff; participate in discharge planning and education.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards; no block scheduling; holiday coverage as applicable.
