Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Fort Walton Beach is seeking a Travel EP Lab Tech to assist in electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, and other specialized procedures in the EP lab. You will prepare patients, operate and troubleshoot lab equipment, monitor responses, and support cardiac interventions, with emphasis on safety, infection control, and precise technique.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year EP lab experience and current BLS/ACLS and ARRT/RCES/RCIS

Qualifications

• Minimum one year EP Lab Tech experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT/RCES/RCIS certifications.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to handle equipment and assist with procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions, and maintain attention to detail.
• Effective visual and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during procedures and administer medications, including sedation.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient responses, and respond to changes.

• Provide post-procedure care and monitor for complications.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Travel EP Lab Tech

Role: Responsible for assisting in electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, and other specialized procedures within the EP lab. Involves patient preparation, operating and troubleshooting lab equipment, monitoring responses, and supporting cardiac interventions.

Key Duties

• Perform nursing assessments and document findings
• Educate patients and families on procedures and post-care
• Assist physicians during procedures and administer medications, including sedation
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient responses, responding to changes
• Maintain sterile technique, prepare equipment, and troubleshoot technical issues
• Provide post-procedure care and monitor for complications
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum one year recent EP Lab Tech experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT/RCES/RCIS certifications
