Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cath lab procedures and contribute to cardiac diagnosis within scope of practice.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise with sterile technique and function as scrub person.
• Continuously monitor ECG for abnormalities and report emergent or urgent rhythms to the physician and team.
• Monitor and record intracardiac and intravascular pressures.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients throughout the procedure to facilitate comfort, support, and safety.
• Document procedures thoroughly and accurately using the lab‑specific documentation system.
• Practice radiation safety per protocol.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
