Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with cath lab procedures and contribute to cardiac diagnosis within scope of practice.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise with sterile technique and function as scrub person.
- Continuously monitor ECG for abnormalities and report emergent or urgent rhythms to the physician and team.
- Monitor and record intracardiac and intravascular pressures.
- Maintain ongoing communication with patients throughout the procedure to facilitate comfort, support, and safety.
- Document procedures thoroughly and accurately using the lab‑specific documentation system.
- Practice radiation safety per protocol.
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Electrophysiology Technologist.
- Must hold BLS, ACLS, PALS (if applicable) and CCI National certification – RCES or RCIS, and state‑specific licensing when required.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean or stoop for long periods.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
- Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
