Electrophysiology Technician (Travel) – Washington, D.C.

Start Date: 06/22/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Hours: 36 per week | Shift: 12‑hour days | Employment Type: Travel

Pay: 12‑hour shifts with tax‑free stipend to be determined.

Responsibilities

• Follow physicians’ orders; assist with catheter lab procedures and contribute to cardiac diagnosis within scope of practice.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in sterile technique and serve as scrub personnel.
• Continuously monitor ECG for abnormalities; report emergent or urgent rhythms to the physician operator and other team members.
• Monitor and record intracardiac and intravascular pressures.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients throughout the procedure to ensure comfort and safety.
• Demonstrate competency in arrhythmia identification, hemodynamic changes, and all interventional procedures.
• Document procedures thoroughly and accurately using the lab‑specific documentation system.
• Practice radiation safety per protocol.
• Use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent electrophysiology experience.
• Certification: CCI (RCES or RCIS), BLS; ACLS and PALS if applicable.
• State‑specific licensing required when applicable.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
