Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with interventional and surgical procedures.
• Monitor ECG for abnormalities and report urgent rhythms to physician.
• Document procedures accurately using lab-specific documentation systems.
• Demonstrate sterile technique and serve as scrub person.
• Continuously monitor ECG for abnormalities and report rhythms to the team.
• Monitor and record intracardiac and intravascular pressures.
• Communicate with patients to provide comfort, reassurance and safety.
• Document procedures thoroughly in lab documentation system.
• Practice radiation safety per protocol.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Job Overview

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Electrophysiology Technician for a travel job in Atlanta, Georgia.

Job ID #1382987. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Responsibilities

• Use radiologic equipment and assist physicians with interventional and surgical procedures.
• Prepare and observe patients undergoing procedures and report abnormal activity.
• Follow physicians' orders and assist with cath lab procedures, contributing to cardiac diagnosis within scope of practice.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise related to sterile technique and serve as scrub person.
• Continuously monitor ECG for abnormalities and report emergent or urgent rhythms to physician operator and team members.
• Monitor and record intracardiac and intravascular pressures.
• Communicate with patient throughout the procedure to facilitate comfort, emotional support, reassurance, and safety.
• Document procedures thoroughly and accurately using lab‑specific documentation system.
• Practice radiation safety per protocol.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an EP Tech.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• CCI National certification – RCES or RCIS, and state‑specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• ARRT, BLS, ACLS, CCI, 2 Years (additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment).
