Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an EEG Technologist with 2+ years of experience in seizure studies and ambulatory EEG for adult ICU and ER settings. The role includes day shifts, 4x10 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, rotating weekends, and on-call duties.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of EEG experience in seizure studies and ambulatory EEG.
Active Florida license required at time of consideration.
BLS certification required.
Experience in ER and Adult ICU settings preferred (Level 1 Trauma preferred).
EPIC experience required; references from Manager/Supervisor/Charge Nurse/Director within past year.

Responsibilities

Perform EEG procedures including electrode placement, portable recording, long-term/video monitoring, and sleep EEG.
Work in adult ICU and Emergency Department settings with rotating weekend and on-call duties.
May float to meet facility needs and to sister facilities as needed.
Utilize Meditech for charting and documentation.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an EEG Technologist with 2+ years of experience in seizure studies and ambulatory EEG for adult ICU and ER settings.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience required
BLS certification required
Experience with seizure studies and ambulatory EEG required
Experience in ER and Adult ICU work settings required
Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
Experience with ECI brain death studies, motor evoked potentials, SSEP, and visual evoked potentials preferred
EPIC experience required
Active Florida license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
Two supervisory references (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) dated within the past year required for consideration
Flu vaccine required during flu season with medical or religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

EEG Tech unit within a community hospital setting
Adult ICU and Emergency Department work settings, including Level 1 Trauma
Patient volume of 5-6 per day
Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Rotating weekend requirement
On-call required
May float within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities as often as daily or weekly
Meditech charting system preferred
Perform EEG procedures including electrode placement, portable recording, long-term/video monitoring, and sleep EEG studies
First-time travelers will be considered
Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers with no radius restriction
Finalized RTO requests must be submitted upfront, as RTO requests will not be accepted after an offer is made
Former employees or contract staff must wait at least one year after separation before returning as a traveler
Scrubs of any color permitted, but tops and bottoms must match with no logos or prints
Free parking available with decal provided at orientation
