Job summary
ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in La Plata, Maryland. This 13-week contract involves 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30).
Every other weekend and holidays are required as scheduled. The role requires 1–2 years of ED nursing experience, an active MD or compact-state RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/NIHSS/CPI certifications.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
- Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications.
- Experience with diverse patient populations and diagnoses.
- Epic charting system familiarity preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to ED patients.
- Monitor patients with a variety of medical conditions.
- Administer medications and perform procedures as prescribed.
- Document assessments, interventions and outcomes per hospital policy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Respond to emergencies and act swiftly in critical situations.
- Float within the department as staffing requires.
