Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This travel assignment runs 13 weeks, with a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour day shifts. Start date is 10/18/2026, with unit assignments spanning ED and potential transition care coverage.

The unit cares for diverse trauma cases including GSWs, stabbings, and multi-trauma patient loads. Experience required is 2 years, with first-time travelers considered only if they have 3+ years in a Level 1

Qualifications

• Experience as an RN in Emergency Department (Level I) preferred.
• First-time travelers accepted only with 3+ years of Level 1 trauma center experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department for travel assignments.
• Collaborate with ED team on patient assessment, interventions and dispositions.
• Follow hospital protocols and maintain patient safety and quality of care.
• Float to the ED Transition Care Unit as needed.
