Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel ED Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. Shifts available Days and Nights, with compensation per shift and weekly pay.

Responsible for ED operations, staffing, and direct patient care to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Requirements include an active RN license in the state, BLS/ACLS/PALS on hire, and at least one year of ED experience in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required on hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital ED setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR-related activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness; coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.
