Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel ED Registered Nurse in Lewiston, Maine to support busy emergency departments across partner facilities. This 12-week assignment offers day and night shifts and weekly pay.

You must hold an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with ED experience. Compensation ranges per shift are competitive, and the team provides dedicated career specialists to help you plan your next career move.

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN License.
BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.
Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, ED setting required.
PALS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
Assists with performance management and HR-related activities.
Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness; coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed.
Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.
