Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks a Travel ED Registered Nurse to support a partner hospital in Lewiston, Maine, for a 12-week assignment with night shifts and competitive per-shift pay of up to $64 per hour equivalent.

Responsibilities include overseeing ED operations, staffing, admissions/discharges, and ensuring high-quality, compliant patient care. Requires an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and at least one year of ED experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the relevant state.
• BLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• Minimum 1 year in an acute care hospital ED setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR-related activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness.
• Coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.
