Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel ED Charge Nurse in Lewiston, Maine. The assignment is 12 weeks with days and nights shifts available and a weekly pay gross range of $1,491.84 to $2,067.48.

An additional $3/hour differential is paid on top of the base rate. Required include RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and at least one year of ED or acute care staff nurse experience with supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) required on hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) required on hire and maintained.
• Minimum 1 year as staff nurse in ED/acute care with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR-related activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness.
• Coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.
