Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel ED Charge Nurse in Lewiston, ME. This role supports ED operations, staffing, and patient flow while ensuring high-quality care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, ED setting required.
• Previous supervisory experience, required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts. Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR-related activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness. Coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels.

Pay: up to $1,491 – $2,067 gross pay per week; equivalent to $41.44– $57.43 per hour.
