Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel ED Charge Nurse in Lewiston, ME. You will oversee ED operations, manage staffing, and coach the nursing team to deliver safe, high-quality care around the clock.

The assignment is 12 weeks with weekly gross pay ranging from $1,491 to $2,067, plus a $3/hour differential. Required: active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ED supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS (AHA) required on hire.
• ACLS (AHA) required on hire.
• PALS (AHA) required on hire.
• Minimum 1 year as staff nurse in ED setting; supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts; ensures safe, high-quality care.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness; coordinates admissions, transfers, discharges.
• Addresses patient care concerns and escalates as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing.

Pay: up to $1,491 - $2,067 gross pay per week; equivalent to $41.44- $57.43 per hour.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License
2. Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
4. Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required.
5. PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
6. Previous supervisory experience, required.
7. Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required.
