Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification required upon hire.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital ED setting.
• PALS (AHA) certification required upon hire.
• Previous supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality care and regulatory compliance.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.
• Assists with performance management and HR activities.
• Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness; coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Addresses patient concerns and escalates issues as needed.
• Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience.
• Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain staffing levels.

Pay: up to $1,491.84 -$2,067.48 gross pay per week; equivalent to $41.44- $57.43 per hour.

Assignment Length: 12 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts. Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

• Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required.
• PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous supervisory experience, required.

Pay Transparency: Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $41.44 to $57.43. This compensation estimate is specific to Maine and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
