Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is hiring an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer for a 14-week travel assignment in the Echo/Cardiac department. You will perform ultrasound exams across all age groups, with rotating day shifts and occasional weekend call.

Minimum 1 year of experience, ARDMS and BLS certification required, and familiarity with Epic EMR and various imaging equipment. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience across all patient age groups, and first-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Details
  • 14-week assignment in the Echo/Cardiac department
  • Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, rotating between 7:00 AM-5:30 PM and 8:00 AM-6:30 PM
  • Work settings include Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, and ICU
  • Every other weekend rotation required
  • Floating within the department and facility, with possible floating to a sister campus
  • Call requirements include 7 weekdays of call within a 6-week period, plus holiday and weekend call rotation
  • Uses Epic EMR (required), along with Pyxis, GE, Hitachi, PACS, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, and Toshiba equipment
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
  • Experience with all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients required
  • BLS and ARDMS certification required (RVS/RVT accepted in addition to or in place of ARDMS)
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience with 2D/3D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo required
  • M-Mode, RVIT, RVOT, and Portable Studies experience preferred
  • Pediatric Echo experience including 2D/3D Echo and TEE
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology
  • Familiarity with isolation precautions/PPE and performing procedures in ICU/ED settings
  • Ability to perform LV Strain/LV Volume calculations
  • Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred at time of consideration
Additional Information
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures per established standards
  • Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists regarding diagnostic findings
  • Provide patient care across all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this role
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, and all RTO must be finalized at time of consideration
  • No RTO can be requested during orientation week
  • Holiday coverage is required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • Previous Piedmont employees or travelers must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
