Job summary

American Traveler is recruiting an independent Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 3+ years of experience and RDCS-Adult certification for a critical access facility in Minnesota.

You will perform 2D/3D echo, Doppler, bubble studies, contrast imaging, M-Mode, pharmacologic and treadmill stress echo, TEE, and portable studies using Philips equipment with Epic charting experience preferred. Monday–Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM; travel and housing support available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of independent echo tech experience required.
• BLS and RDCS-Adult certification required; CCI RCS or RDCS certifications preferred.
• Licensure required if applicable.
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER and community hospital settings.
• Proficiency with calculations including LV measurements and Doppler techniques.
• PACS and Epic charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D/3D echo, color Doppler, bubble studies and TEE.
• Manage an average caseload with precise measurements and reports.
• Utilize Philips equipment and Excellian charting where applicable.
• Float within hospital or to affiliated sites as needed.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an independent Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 3+ years of experience and RDCS-Adult certification for a critical access facility.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of independent echo tech experience required
• BLS and RDCS-Adult certification required; CCI RCS or additional RDCS certifications preferred
• License required if applicable
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and community hospital settings required
• Proficiency with calculations including diastology, LV strain/volume, proximal isovelocity surface area, and Simpson's Rule
• PACS experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols required

Responsibilities

• Critical access hospital with Level 4 trauma designation and 19 staffed beds
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Blocked Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend or on-call requirements
• Average caseload of 7-8 patients per day with a 1:7 patient ratio
• Adult outpatient, inpatient, ER, and community hospital echo settings
• Performs 2D/3D echo, color Doppler, bubble studies, contrast imaging, M-Mode, pharmacologic and treadmill stress echo, TEE, and portable studies
• Uses Philips equipment with preferred Epic (Excellian) charting experience
• May float within hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
• First-time travelers considered if they have 5+ years of experience
• Gray scrub color required
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction for this position
• RTO requests ideally limited to no more than 5 days
• Returning travelers must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked as a perm (staff or per diem) employee
• References from this facility are not provided to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
