Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of adult echocardiography experience for a cardiology department in Lafayette, Indiana.

The role includes 5x8 daytime shifts, on-call duties, and hospital onboarding. Certifications and a clean work history are required; pediatric/neonatal experience is a plus. Local candidates within 50 miles receive a reduced bill rate.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required.
• RDCS or RCS certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in echocardiography.
• Experience with adult echocardiography including stress echocardiography required.
• Pediatric and neonatal echocardiography experience preferred.
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Non-invasive cardiology department in a facility with 150+ beds.
• 5x8 day shifts, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
• On-call rotates weekly among staff, covering weekday evenings and full weekends.
• Uses Philips CVx equipment and Epic EMR.
• Must complete hospital-required onboarding education prior to first day.
• Scrub color requirement: dark grey or pewter, must meet hospital dress code.
• Candidates should be punctual, detail-oriented, cooperative, flexible, and team-oriented.
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a reduced bill rate.
