Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer for a high-volume cardiology department in Santa Fe, NM. You will perform 2D, M-mode, and Doppler echocardiograms on adults and children, with a target of 9 studies per shift across 4x10 hour days.

This travel assignment requires ARDMS/CCI credential (or eligible), BLS, and state licensure where applicable. Ready to start ASAP for a 13-week contract, with on-site day shifts and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• ARDMS/CCI registered or registry eligible
• BLS certification required
• State Echo Sonographer license if applicable
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-year allied health program preferred such as diagnostic medical sonography or related field
• 2 years of echocardiograms experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients
• Capable of handling 9 studies per shift
• Coordinates scheduling, patient transport, and billing entries with hospital departments
• Assists cardiologists during dictation and prepares M-modes
• Maintains equipment quality control and room cleanliness
• Stays current on advances in echocardiography and seeks mentorship
