Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel Cardiac Sonographer for a contract in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The role involves performing 2‑D echoes, M‑Mode and Doppler studies under physician supervision, with accurate preliminary interpretations and complete echo records.

The position requires accredited cardiac technology and echocardiography training, with 40 hours weekly and a 10‑hour day shift. Travel benefits and housing options are provided by MedPro.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac technology.
• Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac ultrasound.
• Interpretation skills to facilitate a comprehensive examination and an accurate preliminary interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the supervising physicians in the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab, prepares patient for examination, performs all 2‑dimensional echoes, M-mode and Doppler studies.
• Prepare preliminary interpretation of those studies.
• Prepare and maintain patient records for echo studies.
• Assist supervising physicians with training of residents, fellows, faculty and other physicians.
• Knowledge of multiple echocardiography platforms and technology.
• Read, interpret, apply, and follow physicians orders, policies, procedures, or written/verbal instructions.
