Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
• 1 adult echo and 1 vascular credential (RDCS AE; RVT) or equivalent.
• Additional credentials (RCS; RVS; RCCS; ACS) considered.
• State licensure if required by law.
• BLS certification with card valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, orders, and schedules; educates patient on procedures and exam.
• Monitors patient condition; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Ensures safety standards; conducts QC; positions patient and performs imaging; analyzes results.

Education

Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program

ARDMS credentials: RDCS AE, RVT

Other eligible credentials: RCS, RVS, RCCS, ACS

State licensure if required

BLS certification (American Heart Association/Red Cross)
