Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Echo Technologist for a Non-Invasive Cardiology department in Grand Junction, CO. The role requires 1+ year of cardiac ultrasound experience and RDCS or RCS certification, with BLS on file.

Shifts are 4x10 hour days (40 hours/week) with shared on-call duties and 30-minute response times. Epic charting is used; license and credentials must be current.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of cardiac ultrasound experience (echocardiography) preferred.
• BLS (AHA) required, must not expire before start date.
• RDCS or RCS certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• License required if applicable; active license with no pending licensure allowed.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams in a Non-Invasive Cardiology unit.
• Work 4x10 hour Day shifts (40 hours per week).
• Share on-call obligations for nights, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time.
• Use Epic for charting.
• Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and gather accurate clinical history prior to exams.
• Review patient history to determine proper protocol and position patients for exams.
• Review and evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness, ensuring quality images for physician review.
• Document and communicate patient information accurately; ensure safe hand-off between shifts.
• Monitor equipment reliability, report issues, and maintain supplies and cleanliness of work areas.
• Transport patients as needed and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Travel restrictions: permanent staff must be separated from Intermountain facility for at least one year before travel eligibility.
