Job summary

Centurion Health is sourcing a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for Western Illinois Correctional Center in Mount Sterling, IL. The position is full-time with an evening shift, serving incarcerated patients under nursing leadership within Centurion Eagles Travel Team.

Ideal candidates hold an active Illinois RN license, CPR/BLS certification, and travel/corrections experience. Compensation includes a weekly stipend and full Centurion benefits, with assignments across Illinois facilities as contracts

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with an active license to practice in Illinois.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
• Must be 90+ miles from the facility.
• License reimbursement after 90 days.
• Corrections experience preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, including drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• The RN provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
• Work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Nursing Supervisor and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide care across physical, psychological and social needs of patients in a correctional setting.

We are currently seeking a full-time Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Western Illinois Correctional Center in Mt Sterling, IL. Our travelers have opportunities throughout the country and are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees.

The Travel Program RN will work between various facilities/locations throughout the state of Illinois, per contract needs. Each assignment will be restricted to one location. The RN is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. Registered Nurses work under the direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological and social needs of the patient.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with an active license to practice in Illinois
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an RN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
• Must be 90+ miles from the facility
• License reimbursement after 90 days
• Corrections experience preferred
