Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Driver Trainer to onboard and coach new Vehicle Transporters, ensuring adherence to Carvana policies and safe loading of vehicles. You will train over a two-week period, combining classroom and hands-on sessions.

The role requires strong communication, mentorship, and collaboration with Logistics Managers across the organization. Travel is expected about half the time, and the position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and knowledge transfer within a fast-paced logistics

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is desirable.
• CDL Class A and clean driving record.
• Smith Systems training or certification preferred or willing to be certified.
• 21+ years old; ability to speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class onboarding to newest Vehicle Transporters at Carvana.
• Serve as the primary trainer for new hires over a 2-week training period.
• Teach new hires how to safely load vehicles onto a 9 car hauler.
• Comfortable with classroom and hands-on training.
• Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to new hires.
• Use skills matrices and evaluation checklists.
• Collaborate with Logistics Managers for smooth transition to on-the-job.
• Travel is required 50% of the time.
