Job summary

Carvana is hiring a Driver Trainer to lead onboarding and ongoing training for Vehicle Transporters. The role focuses on teaching safe driving, loading procedures, and policy compliance while developing a world-class training program across logistics teams.

The candidate will travel up to 50% of the time, deliver both classroom and hands-on sessions, and collaborate with multiple managers to ensure smooth transitions to on-the-job performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required/desirable.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Proficiency with word, spreadsheets and systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide a world class onboarding experience to newest Vehicle Transporters.
• Lead a 2-week training period to get new hires up to speed on trailers and logistics equipment.
• Instruct on safely loading vehicles onto a 9 car hauler, minimizing damage.
• Deliver classroom and hands-on training sessions.
• Coach, mentor and provide feedback to new hires.
• Use skills matrices and evaluation checklists to assess knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with Logistics Managers to ensure smooth training-to-job transition.
• Support other projects as needed; travel up to 50% as required.
