Job summary

ProAutomated is seeking a travel‑driven field technician to keep automation projects moving across North America with no fixed office. You will partner with system integrators and manufacturers to ensure systems work when it matters most.

Starting salary $60,000–$75,000, plus per diem, mileage reimbursement, and bonuses. Four weeks of training and merit raises with a 5% bump after six months are part of the plan. Grow into multiple directions with our support.

Qualifications

• Basic foundation in electrical systems, programming and networking.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, programming and networking.
• Technical degree or 3+ years hands-on experience in electrical/mechanical/automation.
• Must live within 50 miles of a major airport (relocation help available).
• Personal vehicle required within 45 days for local projects.

Responsibilities

• Support data center startups, performing on-site mechanical, electrical, and control checks.
• Lead startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems.
• Partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate on-site.
• Provide clear communication and updates to customers and project teams.
• Travel rotations follow 5 on-2 off, 10 on-4 off, or 14 on-7 off schedules.
• Work with various customers, gaining real-world experience with large companies.
