Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a Travel Diesel Technician/Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles. This is a 100% travel position with weekly pay and full benefits within 30 days.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years of diesel vehicle maintenance experience, and are comfortable traveling and adapting to fast-paced environments. Candidates must live within one hour of a major airport and no farther west than the Mississippi River.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Experience with maintenance on heavy duty tractors and trailers.
• Experience with aftertreatment, A/C repair, and electrical diagnostics.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle to test operation.
• Own and maintain personal tools for the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Inspect vehicles for safety and compliance standards.
• Document repairs and complete work orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and tools.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
