Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a skilled Travel Diesel Technician/Mechanic to service fleet vehicles across the U.S. The role involves 100% travel, frequent schedule changes, and troubleshooting diesel systems to keep trucks on the road.

Pay is $36.00–$43.00 per hour with weekly pay and full benefits within 30 days. Ideal candidates have 5+ years’ experience with diesel maintenance on heavy-duty tractors and trailers, and proficiency in electrical diagnostics, aftertreatment, and A/C repair.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ hands-on experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• 5+ years’ experience working on heavy duty tractors and trailers.
• Experience with aftertreatment, A/C repair, and electrical diagnostics.
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to assess operation.
• Must own and maintain personal tools for the role.
• DOT inspections may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and document repairs.
• Inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and tooling.
• Collaborate with Fleet Managers and senior staff to support operations.
• Travel 100% with potential short-notice schedule changes.
