Job summary

Newsandtribune seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital CVOR unit in Virginia, requiring CVOR experience and ACLS/BLS certification. The position supports a two-suite CVOR, with a day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and a call schedule.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in CVOR scrubbing, a CST credential, and VA/CO licensure if applicable. You will work with a team of RNs and CSTs using Meditech EMR, with housing and licensure support offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• CVOR experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required.
• State licensure required if applicable (VA, CO).
• Scrubbing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hospital CVOR unit with 2 OR suites.
• Staffed by 3 RNs and 3 CSTs on day shift.
• 1:1 patient ratios.
• Uses Meditech EMR.
• Day shift 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.
• Weekday, weekend and holiday call.
• Floating to other OR areas.
• Assist cardiovascular procedures (CABG, thoracotomy, endovascular AAA, valve, pacemaker).
• Flexible, knowledgeable, self-starter candidates.
• Light blue scrubs provided by the facility.
• Candidates reside outside 50‑mile radius; no local candidates.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months.
