Qualifications

• Active Virginia Surgical Technologist registration/license required.
• Minimum of 1 year cardiovascular scrub experience required.
• 1–2 years scrub or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist during cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Prepare surgical instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of the sterile field during surgeries.

Skills

Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation

Customer service and communication skills

Basic computer skills

Education

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program

BLS certification
