Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR position in Illinois. Candidates must hold an active IL RN license and BLS; CVOR and Epic charting experience are required.

The role features a 4x10-hour day shift (7:00 AM–5:00 PM) with on-call rotations for weekends/holidays. You may float to General OR when CVOR is not needed, and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted).
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience.
• CVOR experience required.
• Level 1 Trauma experience highly preferred.
• Epic charting experience required.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.
• Must be comfortable floating to General OR.

Responsibilities

• CVOR setting within a hospital surgical department.
• Day shift: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, rotating day off.
• On-call rotation for weekends and holidays (approx. 1–2 on-call shifts per week; 1–2 weekends per 4 weeks).
• May float to General OR when CV service line is not needed.
• Remain in department except for breaks to ensure availability for patient care.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Prepare the OR suite, patient identification and positioning, support the surgical team during procedures, and handoff to PACU staff.
• Perform patient assessments, develop and modify plans of care, maintain nursing documentation.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract.
• Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break.
