Job summary

American Traveler seeks a CVOR Technician with 3+ years of cardiovascular OR experience for a 13-week contract in Illinois. The role requires prior travel assignment experience, an active IL license if applicable, and BLS certification. Epic EMR experience is required, and new graduates will not be considered.

Work is a day shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with on-call weekends and 6–8 days per month. Must be within 50 miles for on-call eligibility; housing and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of CVOR experience including vascular and endovascular cases.
• Active IL license required if applicable.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Prior travel assignment experience required, minimum of 1 completed assignment.
• New graduates will not be considered.
• Date of birth required for consideration.
• 2 professional references required, with 1 reference mandatory from most recent travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Cardiovascular OR setting handling open heart, vascular, and endovascular cases.
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• Call-only weekend rotation required.
• On-call requirement of 6-8 days per month, must be within 30 minute drive to hospital.
• No sleep room available at the hospital for on-call coverage.
• One winter holiday required, call only.
• Support cardiac open heart, vascular, and endovascular surgical cases.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position.
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being submitted as a traveler.
• RTO maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts.
• Must work at least 1-2 holidays during the contract.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate within a 50 mile radius.
• Candidates must be within the specified call radius to be eligible for on-call duties.
