Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a CVOR Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. You will provide direct and indirect patient care within the Cardiovascular Operating Room, collaborating with the surgical team to ensure sterile supplies, proper positioning, and safe care throughout the procedure.

Requirements include one year CVOR RN experience, valid RN license, and current BLS. Preferred ACLS and other certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of recent CVOR RN experience.
• Valid RN license per state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in Cardiovascular/CT surgical procedures including open and closed heart surgeries.
• Prepare Cardiovascular OR for the procedure.
• Assemble equipment, supplies, medications, and implants; ensure functionality.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists for coordinated care.
• Position patients safely to enable optimal exposure.
• Handle and document specimens to ensure diagnostic integrity.
• Provide post-surgical care coordination and handoff to recovery.
