Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Providence, RI. The nurse will provide direct and indirect care, collaborate with the surgical team, and ensure sterile, ready-to-use equipment for cardiovascular procedures. This role emphasizes patient safety, protocol adherence, and seamless post-operative handoff.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in CVOR, an active RN license, and current BLS certification. ACLS and other licenses may be preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a CVOR RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care before, during, and after the CVOR procedure.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the surgical team to ensure coordinated care.
• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room and assemble equipment, supplies, and implants.
• Position patients safely and maintain sterile technique throughout the procedure.
• Follow Universal Protocol and timeouts to verify patient identity, procedure, and site.
• Coordinate post-surgical handoff and ongoing patient care with the recovery team.
