Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a CVOR RN for a travel assignment in Monroe, Louisiana. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and a 13-week duration. The nurse will work 40 hours per week on days, with travel responsibilities and a mandatory CVOR scope.

As a CVOR RN, you’ll circulate for various cardiothoracic surgeries, handle medications and dressings, and ensure aseptic technique. ACLS/BLS/PALS are mandatory, with additional certifications possibly required to begin the assignment.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS required; additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• 1-2 years acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulate for cardiothoracic procedures and other complex surgeries.
• Assess, plan and evaluate patient care before, during and after surgery.
• Administer prescribed meds, monitor vital signs, and maintain aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians during procedures and coordinate operating room activities.
• Handle specimens appropriately and ensure equipment sterility and readiness.
