Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgical Technician to support the cardiac surgeon in the CVOR. You will prepare and provide sterile instruments and maintain sterilization of surgical gear to ensure procedures run safely.

This travel position requires a Surgical Technician certification (preferred), at least one year CVOR experience, CPR if applicable, and compliance with health and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technician certification preferred (may be required per state and/or client requirement)
• One year experience as a Surgical Technician in a CVOR (cardiovascular operating room) required
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the cardiac surgeon in the CVOR environment
• Prepare and provide sterile instruments and maintain sterilization of surgical equipment
• Arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure devices are functioning properly
