Qualifications
- Eighteen months prior experience in a health care setting as a CT Tech.
- Must be ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified.
- Most states require licensure.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
- Setting controls, monitoring equipment and patient; adjust as needed.
- Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IVs and contrast administration when applicable.
- Dispense oral contrast and prepare patients for CT procedures.
- Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and label appropriately.
- Schedule procedures and handle basic clerical tasks.
- Deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
