Qualifications

• 1 year CT tech experience required.
• BLS, ARRT CT certification and state licensing as applicable.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and assist patients during scanning.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and imaging requests, explain procedures and provide reassurance.
• Interpret doctors' instructions for imaging protocols.
• Position patients to target anatomical areas for CT scans.
• Operate CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
• Administer radiocontrast agents when indicated.
• Assess image quality and ensure images meet clinical requirements.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and recordkeeping.
• Familiar with the McKesson PACS system.
