Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel CT Technologist for a night-shift assignment in Mount Pleasant, SC. The role involves performing CT scans, assisting radiologists, and ensuring proper documentation within a hospital-based CT department.

Open to experienced radiologic technologists with ARRT credentials and BLS, offering a 13-week contract with 4x10 hour nights and potential housing stipends and comprehensive benefits through American Traveler.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT CT certification preferred
• Active SC or compact Radiologic Technology license required if applicable
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health program preferred
• Completion of an accredited Computed Tomography program preferred
• One year of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and lift or move patients
• Frequent reaching, hand/finger dexterity, and exposure to radiation
• Corrected hearing and vision to normal range required

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans of designated anatomical areas under physician direction to support diagnosis and treatment
• Assist radiologists with procedures and supervise student Radiologic Technologists
• Prepare and instruct patients on imaging procedures and assist with informed consent
• Ensure accurate order entry, diagnosis, and clinical history documentation; follow radiation safety practices (ALARA)
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients, and family members
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year, followed by a 30-60 day break
• Background checks and drug screening as required
