Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a Day shift assignment at a Level I Trauma center in West Virginia. You will perform a broad range of CT studies, including abdomen, chest, head/neck, and spine, with and without contrast.

You must be proficient with Cerner EMR, PACS, and contrast administration, and maintain strict radiation safety standards. This travel role requires 3x12 hour days and travel eligibility.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• WV license required (if applicable).
• Minimum 2 years of CT Tech experience.
• Cerner charting system experience required; BLS certification required.
• Experience with image display and post-processing (3D rendering) and ROI measurement.
• Contrast media preparation and administration.
• Proficient in peripheral IV starts and venipuncture.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and PPE.

Responsibilities

• CT Tech assignment in a Level I Trauma facility.
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department cases.
• Performs abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT studies with and without contrast.
• Special procedures include biopsies, drainage, myelography, and vascular chest imaging (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta).
• Utilizes GE and Philips imaging equipment with PACS.
• Cerner EMR experience required.

Requirements

• Experience with image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering (MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering) and ROI measurement
• Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration
• Proficient in peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic CT imaging across multiple specialties including abdomen, chest, head/neck, and musculoskeletal studies
• Support trauma and emergency imaging needs within a Level I Trauma center
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those between 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case at the same rate
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last date of employment before returning as a traveler
• Current employees of the health system (including PRN staff) are not eligible for travel contracts within the same system
• Non-billable EMR training modules must be completed prior to start, typically taking 2-6 hours
