Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for an acute care Radiology department. Requires 2+ years CT Tech experience and ARRT CT certification, plus BLS. WV license may be required.

Responsibilities include performing CT imaging for adults and children, 36-40 hours per week with 8/10/12 hour shifts, on-call and weekend/holiday coverage, and use of EPIC EMR system. Must be able to start IVs and work with pediatric and adult populations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• ARRT (CT) certification required.
• WV state license required (license required if applicable).
• Must be able to start IVs.
• Experience with adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging for both adult and pediatric patients in acute care hospital Radiology department.
• 36-40 hours per week with 8/10/12 hour shifts; call, weekends, and holidays coverage.
• Use EPIC EMR system for imaging orders and documentation.
• Start IVs as needed and execute floor-specific orientation up to 2 weeks.
• Support inpatient and outpatient CT coverage; no lead tech on unit; report to Radiology Director/Manager.
• In-house radiologist coverage 7am–7pm; on-call overnight.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care Radiology department requiring 2+ years experience and ARRT (CT) certification.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• WV state license required (license required if applicable)
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Must be able to perform IV starts
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patient populations

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within a hospital Radiology department
• Performs CT imaging for all areas serving both adult and pediatric patients
• 36-40 hours per week with shift lengths of 8, 10, or 12 hours
• Call required, along with weekend and holiday coverage
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Must be able to start IVs
• Floor-specific orientation up to 2 weeks depending on modality
• Staffing typically includes 2 CT Techs for inpatient and 1 for outpatient coverage
• Performs a wide range of CT exams across all imaging areas
• No lead tech on the unit; reports to Radiology Director/Manager
• In-house radiologist coverage from 7am-7pm, on-call coverage overnight
• Black scrubs required for all techs
• Radiation badge provided by staffing agency, not facility
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates not accepted; radius requirement of 50 miles for this facility
• Previous perm employees must have a 2-year break before returning as travelers
• Previous travelers who completed a full year must take a 2-year break before returning
• Travelers may not work within the WVU system for longer than one year cumulatively before requiring a 2-year break
