Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a dual CT/X-Ray role in New Hampshire. The position requires at least 2 years of hospital experience in CT and in X-Ray, with proficiency across fluoroscopy, digital radiography, portables, and OR c-arm.

The successful candidate will join a 169-bed regional referral hospital during night shifts (10 hours) with weekend rotation, must meet ARRT and BLS requirements, have reliable transportation, and be prepared for travel assignments with housing

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CT Tech experience in a hospital setting.
• Minimum 2 years X-Ray Tech experience in a hospital setting.
• High proficiency in CT and X-Ray required.
• Proficiency with fluoroscopy, digital radiography, portables, and OR c-arm.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Active ARRT registration required.
• NH license required if applicable.
• Must own a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Radiology/CT department in a 169-bed regional referral hospital.
• Night shift, 10-hour shifts, 8:30 PM–7:00 AM.
• Holiday rotation for weekends.
• Care for patients across all age groups.
• Performs CT and X-Ray exams including fluoroscopy, digital radiography, portables, and OR c-arm.
• Position patients and adjust immobilization for imaging views.
• Operate radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment with exposure controls.
• Operate film processing and mobile radiography in OR/ER/bedside.
• Practice radiation protection to minimize exposure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Dress code described.
• Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year\'s Eve through New Year\'s Day and the following weekend.
• RTO requests submitted prior to assignment start and are limited to no more than 5 days.
• Previous travel preferred; first-time travelers may be considered.
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.

• Part of shift/holiday rotation required for weekend coverage
• Must care for patients across all age groups
• Performs CT and X-Ray exams including fluoroscopy, digital radiography, portables, and OR c-arm procedures
• Positions patients on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum imaging views as directed by physician
• Operates radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment, adjusting controls for exposure factors such as time and distance
• Operates film processing equipment and mobile radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment in OR, ER, or at bedside
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required
• Basic computer skills required
• Dress code includes hospital-provided blue scrubs or business casual with lab coat; no hooded sweatshirts, closed-toe shoes required, hair pulled back if past shoulder length, no dangling earrings
• Must work two holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
