Job summary

Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT CT/R certification and Level I Trauma CT experience.

Details

• Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM at the main campus
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirement
• May float within scope of practice to sister facilities as needed
• Uses Epic EMR
• Uses Siemens and PACS equipment, with Sectra preferred
• Caseload varies per shift and location

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience preferred; minimum 6 months Level I Trauma CT experience required
• BLS and ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
• South Carolina RN license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with PIV starts and Siemens equipment required
• Skilled in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Must supply own radiation badge

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging across adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, ED, and Level I Trauma settings
• Special procedures may include aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, coronary CTA, vascular CTA, and drainage studies
• Required to attend all staff meetings
• Teal top and black bottom scrub color required
• First-time travelers considered if they have relevant prior experience
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for manager approval
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be prioritized
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
