Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Carlsbad, NM. The candidate must hold ARRT CT certification and have 2+ years of CT and X-ray experience. The role includes night shifts (6:30 PM–7:00 AM), on-call four days per month, and no floating.

Prerequisites include NM license if applicable, AMA-accredited education, and state radiographer licensure. Driver’s license and US SSN are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience and ARRT CT certification.
• CT and X-ray experience required.
• NM license if applicable.
• Graduate of AMA-accredited program.
• State radiographer license required.
• Valid driver’s license and US SSN.
• No certifications expiring within 30 days.
• No employment gaps ≥90 days in past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Works in the CT Scanner unit providing diagnostic CT exams for inpatients and outpatients.
• Performs CT scanning of head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, and extremities, as well as biopsy/drainage procedures.
• Also performs basic radiographic procedures, fluoroscopy, portable radiographic procedures, C-arm procedures, and OR imaging services.
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday.
• Call required 4 days per month.
• No floating required.
• Provides professional, timely, and accurate diagnostic CT examinations under physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Works under the direction of a Radiologist and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Any scrub color accepted.
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week.
• Candidates who worked at this health system as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered.
• Does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius.
